Chapli Kebab Tacos

Ingredients
  

Masala

  • 5 Cardamoms
  • 2 Star Anise
  • 1 inch stick of Cinnamon
  • 2 tsps Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsps Coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp peppercorns

Green Chutney

  • 1/4 cup Ginger
  • 1/4 cup Garlic
  • 3 Green Chillies
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • Juice of a Lime
  • 1 cup fresh Coriander
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder

Other

  • 1/2 cup Chickpea or Gram flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 lb ground meat – Mutton Lamb or Beef
  • 1 tsp each of Salt & Ground Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup sliced green Chillies
  • 1 cup finely diced Onion
  • ½ cup diced Tomato – remove seeds and pulp
  • ½ cup chopped Coriander
  • Tacos
  • Flour Tortillas
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheese per taco
  • 1 tbsp sliced Onions per taco
  • 1 tbsp Chutney per taco

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Chapli Kebab spice blend by toasting the spices, allowing them to cool and then grinding to a powder
  • Prepare the Green chutney by grinding the ingredients together - you can also use store bought
  • Toast the Gram flour
  • Soft scramble one Egg
  • Process the meat with salt & pepper, all of the ground spice powder, ginger & garlic paste and all the toasted gram flour.
  • Spread this in a thin layer on the taco
  • Cook the taco, meat side down on a hot griddle
  • Add cheese, onion and chutney and fold the taco and cook on both sides
