Chicken 65 Chowmein

Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 600 gms boneless Chicken cut in strips
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 2 tsps Ginger & Garlic paste
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 - 3 tbsps Corn Starch

Masala

  • 2 cups diced Onion and saute this for about 5 - 7 mins
  • 2 tbsps sliced green Chillies
  • 1 cup Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsps Ginger & Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1/2 cup Chilli paste or Sambal Oelek
  • 1/4 tsp red food colouring

Vegetables

  • 1/4 cup Spring Onions
  • 1 cup sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 cup sliced green Pepper
  • 1 cup julienne of Carrots
  • 2 cups sliced cooked green Beans

Noodles

  • 1 lb - 454 gms Chowmein noodles

Instructions
 

  • Add Turmeric, Chilli powder, Salt, Ginger & Garlic paste, Egg & Cornstarch to the Chicken and mix it well
  • Cook each piece in hot Oil till cooked and keep aside
  • In another wok or saute pan, saute the Onion, once golden, add the green Chilli, Curry leaves, Ginger & Garlic paste, Turmeric, Chilli powder, Salt, Chilli paste and red food colouring.
  • Add the cooked Chicken, toss to coat and keep aside
  • In the same wok, add more oil and saute the spring Onion bulbs, Mushrooms, green Pepper, Carrots and saute
  • Add the cooked french Beans and saute again and keep aside
  • Cook the Chowmein Noodles according to package instructions and drain
  • In the same wok, add more oil and add the Noodles, add the Vegetables and the Chicken 65 and toss to coat.
  • You may have to mix these together in batches
  • Garnish with Spring Onion leaves
