Beef Cutlets

Ingredients
  

Bread
  • 2 slices soaked and squeezed dry
  • 1 slice fresh Breadcrumbs
Spice Paste
  • 8 cloves
  • 2 tsps black pepper
  • 6 1/2 inch cinnamon
  • 6 cardamoms
  • Garlic - 10 gms
  • Ginger - 10 gms
  • Chillies - 5 gms
  • Onion - 45 gms
  • Juice of 1/2 a Lime
Meat
  • 500 gms of medium ground Beef
  • Salt to taste
  • Spice paste
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped Coriander
  • Soaked bread
  • Fresh Breadcrumbs as needed
  • Dried Breadcrumbs

Method
 

  1. Soak the bread slices and squeeze them dry and keep aside
  2. Add one slice of bread and make fresh breadcrumbs
  3. To make the spice paste add all the whole spices and grind
  4. Add the Garlic, Ginger, Chillies & Onion together with the juice of a lime and grind
  5. If there are still pieces of the ginger & garlic that aren’t fully pureed yet, add a little of the soaked bread and grind
  6. Add this spice paste to the meat after you add salt to taste
  7. Follow with the egg, coriander and all the soaked bread
  8. Add as much of the fresh breadcrumbs as needed and mix everything in
  9. Form these into patties, dip into dry breadcrumbs and shallow fry on both sides till the patties are fully cooked
