Red Curry Masala Baffad

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Red Kashmiri Chillies
  • 2 inch ball of tamarind soaked in 1 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup Ginger
  • 1/4 cup Garlic
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp black Peppercorns
  • 2 inch stick Cinnamon
  • 2 Cardamoms
  • 1/2 tsp Cloves
  • 1 tsp of Turmeric

Method
 

  1. Soak the chillies in hot water for 30 mins to overnight
  2. Soak the tamarind for 30 mins
  3. Marinate the chicken with the lime juice and salt and keep aside
  4. In a food processor add the chillies, tamarind, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, peppercorns,, cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves & turmeric
  5. Add water a little at a time till smooth
