
Where kebabs are concerned in India, Seekh Kebabs are King. These are available on every street corner all over India. Traditionally cooked in a tandoor, these are a favorite. Recently there has been a Beef ban in most parts of India and Seekh Kebabs are made from Lamb or Mutton meat.



Seekh Kebab
Ingredients
- 2 cups finely diced Onion
- 2 – 3 Chillies
- Salt
- 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) lean Beef
- 1 tsp Coriander seeds
- 1 tsp Peppercorns
- 1 tbsp each of Ginger & Garlic paste
- 1 tsp each crushed pepper & coriander
- 2 tsp Chilli powder
- 2 tsp Cumin powder
- 2 tsp Garam Masala
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup diced Coriander
Instructions
- Add Salt to the Onion and chilli and tie in a cheese cloth to strain all the water out
- Add all the ingredients including the onion to a food processor and process
- Using a metal skewer, press the meat onto the skewer & grill
