I LOVE Halloween – each year I think of creepy ideas to make for potlucks as we typically have one at work each year. I’ve had so many fun ideas over the years, check it out here, but this time I had this idea to make the intestines look realistic by piping the filling. This makes the tubes flexible and easy to turn and twist!

You can use any protein that you like for the filling, and add the blood aka sauce, just before serving!

Bloody Intestines

Ingredients

  • 500 gms of lean ground Beef Lamb or Chicken
  • 1/2 cup finely diced Onion
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 2 tsps Ginger & Garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Egg
  • 500 – 600 gms Pizza dough
  • 1.5 – 2 cups Pasta sauce

Instructions

  • Mix the ground meat, onion, powdered spices, ginger & garlic paste, salt and egg keep aside
  • Roll out the dough, fill the piping bag with the filling and pipe in a straight line
  • Roll the dough over and seal
  • Once you have several lengths prepared, place on a oven tray like intestines and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 – 40 mins
  • Once cooked, cover with pasta sauce
