Where kebabs are concerned in India, Seekh Kebabs are king. Using the same recipe, I’m made this recipe into a patty form. I love to make a large batch of these and freeze them in stacks for when I need them.

Forget store bought burgers, these are amazing!

Seekh Kebab Burger

  • 2 cups finely diced Onion
  • 2 – 3 chillies
  • Salt
  • 1.5 kg (3.3 lblean Beef
  • 1 tsp here Coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp Peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp each of Ginger & Garlic paste
  • The crushed pepper & coriander
  • 2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 2 tsp Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup diced Coriander


  • Add Salt to the Onion and chilli and tie in a cheese cloth to strain all the water out
  • Add all the ingredients including the onion to a food processor and process
  • Make into patties and chill in the freezer before grilling
