Fresh Naan is cooked, topped with Butter Chicken, onions peppers broccoli and cheese and cooked on a tava or griddle for a quick Butter chicken naan pizza fix!

Butter Chicken Naan Pizza


Dough – makes 2 pizzas

  • 2.25 tsps dried Yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm Water
  • 1/4 tsp Sugar
  • 2.5 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 tsp Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • 2 tbsps Oil
  • Pinch of black Sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsps Flour
  • 2 tbsps Semolina
  • 1/2 tsp Butter
  • 3/4 leftover Butter Chicken per pizza
  • 1/4 cup Onion per pizza
  • 1/4 cup green Pepper per pizza
  • 1/4 cup Broccoli per pizza
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup of Mozzarella per pizza


  • Add the warm water to the yeast with the sugar and allow it to froth for 10 minutes
  • Sift the flour, add the yogurt, salt and all o the yeast mixture
  • Add a little water as required and mix everything together
  • Once mixed, continue to knead by hand adding some oil
  • Allow this dough to rise in a warm spot for 30 – 60 mins
  • Once done, add a little flour and knead once again
  • Divide the dough into 2 and make a disc out of one half
  • Flour the board with flour and semolina and roll out the dough till it’s about 1/2 cms in thickness
  • Crimp the edges and add some black sesame seeds
  • Heat a pan and add some butter and brush all over
  • Cook the naan on one side and flip over and cook on the other side
  • Add some onion at the bottom so the pizza base does not directly touch the pan
  • Add the butter chicken, onions, peppers, broccoli and cover with cheese
  • Cover with a glass lid and allow the cheese to melt
  • You can alternatively cook this in the oven
